Rockins launched in November 2014. Blending exquisitely crafted silk skinny scarves with edgy and beautiful design, Rockins quickly amassed a loyal following, garnering attention in the press, high-end editorials and on the necks of today’s style icons.
The Rockins story began when partners Jess Morris and Tim Rockins produced a small run of bespoke silk scarves as Christmas presents for friends. After being spotted draped around the necks of Kate Moss, Keith Richards, Sienna Miller and Harry Styles, media interest heightend and Rockins was born. Morris, a highly esteemed Marketing Director and Tim Rockins, a vastly experienced Graphic Designer, Animator & Illustrator share a love of collecting vintage fashion and music, and through scouring thrift stores and markets, they pinpointed a need for a new and contemporary take on vintage style. Rockins are purists, dedicated to expert craftsmanship mixing iconic and musical references with timeless insignia that resonate with well-dressed individuals that seek out distinctive, eclectic lifestyle design.
Scarves were the entry point for what is now a brand boasting not only a wide collection of printed silk accessories which have been sold in over 250 top tier stores world-wide but also Mainline - Rockins’ ready to wear and denim collection, launched to critical acclaim in 2017.
In November 2017 Rockins opened their first London flagship store Rockins Emporium on Golborne Rd, nestled in the heart of Portobello Market. The shop is the jewel in the Rockins crown, it perfectly embodies the brand with its hand painted psychedelic fairground shop sign and gold leaf shooting stars emblazoned across the wall. It is a Mecca of colour and flamboyant style and a place for the Rockins customer to immerse themselves in the Rockins soundtrack and lifestyle.
With a Rock Merchandise business about to launch, with artists such as Motorhead, Pink Flloyd, Janis Joplin, Alice Cooper and Aerosmith AND their first collection of cosmetics inspired by the rock stars and film sirens of the 1970s
2020 is looking exciting for this well connected design duo.
JESS MORRIS "We are beyond excited to finally be launching our first drop of ROCKINS Cosmetics....Something I've dreamt about since I was a little girl pouring over images of 20s and 30s screen goddesses on cigarette cards whilst listening to Marc Bolan in my bedroom.... We've clashed the decades together and come up with a story that is inspired by the rock stars of the 1970s and film sirens of the 20s but for the modern girl, or guy, who wants to stand out, who maybe needs a mask to hide behind, who feels not only more confident in makeup but feels transported, as if acting out another character, but one you can play everyday..... and especially at night!!! Think Louise Brooks meets Edie Segwick and Candy Darling at The Factory, The GTOs at CBGB and 70s cult screen sirens and free thinkers such as Uchi Obermier and Tina Aumont who expressed their sex appeal with raw edge and bouffant hair, stained lips and big black exaggerated eyes". It's all happening!!!!
